Violenn Simon created this incredible book of illustrations for the Doors song, People are Strange. The video shows the pages being turned in time to the music. The typography for the lyrics and the ghostly illustrations fit the mood of the song perfectly and I love the way it’s presented in this video.

I loved this video of how an Eames shell chair is built. It’s one of those “Picture Picture” type factory process films that always seem to mesmerize me. Via Steven O. Sloan

I have fallen in love with a new music video. Paper Beats Rock came up with an innovative animation style for the music video for the song “You Are Home” by Levi Weaver. The cutouts of plain line drawings glued to sticks that gently move about the scene are perfect for the melancholic and sentimental [...]

The song Won’t Say Anything by Hello Seahorse is a bubbly, handclappy work of beauty and has quickly become my favorite song of the moment. The video is pretty fun and makes you wish you were a part of the band. I found this live version of Won’t Say Anything that is stripped down and [...]

Brilliant mini-documentary, asking 50 people the same question (HD version in the link). You’d be surprised how quickly you can connect to a human being enough that you start to tear up when they answer. My answer would be: To discover something no one else has

I am currently swooning over the above video of Thee More Shallows playing their song Ask me about Jon Stross live and acoustic on a couch. I’ve been a big fan ever since I saw them open for Why? a few years ago. They have a very low key, new-folk style, but the music has [...]
I just saw the movie “Once“, which was very good, but it was the soundtrack the really blew me away. I especially love Glen Hansard’s “Say it to me now” and the live performance I posted above is amazing. The sound quality in the recording isn’t the greatest but I think it adds a nice [...]

This is pretty funny, but mostly sad because of how true it is. Via Hello Bauldoff
