Typographic book to benefit Myanmar cyclone victims

The people of Create/Reject have put together a design book that features the favorite typefaces from 50 of today’s top designers, and 100% percent of the profits goes toward UNICEF’s Myanmar Cyclone Children’s Appeal.
I bought one as soon as I heard about it. It looks like a fun book for type nerds and people […]

Kato - Business cards

I love these business cards for Andre Kato. They are very bold while staying clean and minimal. It looks like they fit together to form a typographic design on the back. Unfortunately, I don’t read Portuguese so I don’t know much about them, other than how nice they look.

Richard Perez design

I found some nice design work by Richard Perez. Looks like his site is under construction for now, but you can view his stuff on his Flickr account for now. I really love the way he experiments with shapes and colors.

I’ve decided to establish a running feature on my blog that I will call “Typography Photography”. In this case, “Typography Photography” is defined as being a photo of typographic work in context. Of course, the type work and its environment must be interesting, but the actual photography must also be well done. […]

Back to the Futura - Cinematypography

The fantastic design blog September Industry has created, with the help of other contributers, a list of movie titles that have font names worked into them. Maybe it’s because I’m a super nerd, but it’s the funniest thing I have seen on the internet in a long time. Some of my favorites are […]

Toby Evans screen printed business cards

I really like these business cards for Toby Evans. Not only is it a very nice minimal typographic design, but I like the fact that he designed, screen printed, and cut them out himself. It gives it a very personal yet still professional feel. I might do something like this for myself […]

Adrian Frutiger turns 80 today

Adrian Frutiger, my favorite typeface designer, is turning 80 today. You can read about him and leave a message to him on Linotype if you wish. I made the image above and sent him this message:
“I might name one of my children after you. I wanted to name one after a designer that […]

Great gig poster designs by Oomingmak Design Company

Oomingmak Design Company makes some fantastic gig poster designs. I love the vintage color palette and the type work is spot on.

Typographic posters to benefit Chinese earthquake victims

Herman Lee, aka Freshfauxx, has made some really nice inspirational typographic posters. The cool thing is that the proceeds from selling them go to the Canadian Red Cross to help aid the victims of the earthquake in China. If I wasn’t on such a tight budget, I would totally buy the white one, […]
