If you have 7 minutes of spare time and adore Fred Rogers as much as I do, watch this video clip of Mr. Rogers passionately defending PBS to prevent Nixon from cutting their budget in order to fund the Vietnam War. Via We Love You So
I just heard about Obama unveiling the new logos for the ARRA and TIGER programs. Not only are they awesome, but they were done by some awesome people, namely Chris Glass (who has a knack for finding great things on the internet) and Aaron Draplin (who amused me greatly in this rant about bad design [...]

Barack Obama’s official presidential portrait has just been released. Seeing him in this familiar pose just gave me chills. When I was a child looking at the rows and rows of white male portrait shots in the appendices of my textbooks, it didn’t seem like I’d would see something like this so soon in my [...]

The subdued color palette is a nice break from the typical bold and bright hues you see on most campaigning designs. If this were made into a screen printed poster I would definitely buy it.

When you start typing something into Google it gives suggestions based on what is searched most often by people typing in the words you are typing at the time. This feature is helpful sometimes, but more often, just interesting to see what is popular on the internet. Alex Micek, of Tumbledry.org, pointed out the very [...]

Can you feel that? That breath of fresh air seeping under the smog. That slight shift in the wind. It’s the first glimpse of new hope. It’s Obamania. Tonight I heard a drunk college kid enthusiastically shouting out Obama quotes in the street. And then I watched this music video on the internet, and I [...]
