I found this great photo on Flickr of a vintage “Whittemore’s Cleanall” package. I just love the typography and the little flourishes. The colors are breathtakingly beautiful as well.
lauren {elycerose} on Flickr just pointed out that aluminum foil boxes have push in tabs for holding the roll in place. This is the most amazing thing I have learned all week and I can’t believe I never noticed it before. My life is now slightly easier.
I came across this huge Flickr set of matchbook labels from the 50’s and 60’s. There are hundreds of images in the set of mostly Eastern European labels. They are like tiny little vintage posters, and there are tons of nice ones to look at.
