Designer Kent Henderson had insomnia one night and decided to scan in this wonderful book entitled Examples of Modern Alphabets, Ornamental and Plain from 1864! This is a really fun gallery to click through for anyone interested in vintage woodblock typography or even book design. The amount of detail in the letters is amazing, end even the “plain” ones are not so plain.
