Bjork - Wanderlust music video

Although I’m not a huge Bjork fan, I really liked her new music video for “Wanderlust”. It’s a really strange (surprise, surprise) 3-d animation style. It creates a very surreal atmosphere. The video is pretty big, but it’s really good quality.
I couldn’t help making a silly little animated gif of one of [...]

Exel Energy announced that it would make Boulder, CO the first “Smart Grid City”. Which basically means they are creating some sort of energy program that is self aware and able to make itself more reliant, efficient, and greener. There’s a video on that page that explains it [...]

This is the first known image of Peter, the [...]

3 year old Korean boy sings “Hey Jude”

Impressive timing and the climax at the end is awesome.

This is easily the funniest Craigslist post I have ever seen.

This is the theme song for the internet.

Yes We Can

Can you feel that? That breath of fresh air seeping under the smog. That slight shift in the wind. It’s the first glimpse of new hope. It’s Obamania.
Tonight I heard a drunk college kid enthusiastically shouting out Obama quotes in the street. And then I watched this music video on [...]

Where the wild things are, the movie

When I found out they were making a movie out of my favorite childhood book, Where the Wild Things Are, I was thrilled. But when I found out it was being directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation..), I couldn’t be happier. I love the fact that the monsters will be [...]

Holophonic Sounds, or, some insane “auditory illusions”

The sound clips were recorded with two microphones placed in a dummy’s head to simulate the way we would hear the sounds if they were actually happening around us. The virtual haircut is especially creepy in a fun way. Be sure to wear headphones and close your eyes for the full effect.
